The road from papudo to Los Vilos

What can be said long up hill with little signs that say the step hill of this the step hill of that! Great thanks we can see there's a hill no need to call it something and put a picture of a truck struggling too!
I dug deep and took my time determined to make it to Los Vilos!
Then as the sun was setting about 17:45 I was there I made my way down this road which was under construction and took the opportunity to take a few pictures of it, I found the yet un finished street lights to be rather a good subject.

Shortly there after I made my way closer to the ocean, to snap away the sunset never mind that it was getting dark I knew the tent by now and was confident in my organization or Gera to find the head light to set it up in the dark.

While I was snapping away there were two people a man and a woman in their fifties who like my bike and said ola! I asked them where would be a good place to camp perhaps the beach? They said the next town over about five km away I complained but okay why not?! They then offered for me to set up the tent in their yard! I said really that's awfully nice!

We took it from there! She made me dinner and we looked at the maps and discussed things, family friends what we liked who we were they have four children about my age living in various places such as Liverpool, France etc.

we continued to talk and drink wine, she a reporter and he a photographer, I asked where I could get a zoom lens for my camera and he told me of two places one a tax free area and the other not.

We then talked about the various important projects in Chile like the very large array of listening satellites in alma and the telescopes they asked if I would be interested in seeing them and I said of course! They will see if I can get in! More on that later but it would be a real treat! Not many people get to see them!

We said good night and I dreamed of the scope,s the amazing sights they would give, we had breakfast and then I was off. I could not thank them enough for their hospitality!
