Carlos is the best! We meet by chance in one of the many bike shops on San Diego street in Santiago where I told him what the problem was and what I was doing.
He offered to help and later told me that to source a dynamo in Santiago would of been very difficult! Boy was I glad to have bought one in Toronto.
We agreed to meet up at 10 on Monday the 15th of June at his store were we started to rebuild the wheel outside in the shade.
To true the wheel he needed to use the true ing stand and once he was done it was perfect, I wanted to pay I
Him for the work and told him I was having banking issues I could not draw money, so we agreed that I would give him the extra spanner I had which was brand new as well as the original hub, confident that the son would not fail...
Once he finished we made sure everything worked and We parted ways shaking hands amicably.
This trip would not be happening without him!

On the highway 5 which I should of not been but there was no other road, I came to a problem spot! The road had changed to a single lane as they were doing major works! Crap now what? Go back not an option, so I started to look for a way through. This did not look good and going on this single lane with all of those trucks suicide!
A worker approached and asked me something in what could only be worker Spanish I understood nothing :) then a nice worker lady started to be interested, she was talking a lot I was understanding little but in the end we worked it out she called in a pickup truck and they where going to take me through the road works safely, the only choice. While we waited she offered water and fruit!
The truck arrived and we loaded the bike in the back, all three of us hoped on board and there was little all only because of my poor Spanish if not I would of asked them a million things.
Once safe they dropped me off and I thanked the man who drove and kissed the lady thank you and good bye. She had been great!
