Leaving la Serena

After arriving tired from a 100 km ride to la Serena I checked in to the hotel club very nice but I didn't enjoy it as I could of. The nice fireplace, the pool and restaurant, i did enjoy the view of the ocean from my room as I was both in pain my left knee started to hurt on the way in to la Serena over did it on the step climbs I guess I calculated and thus far it is there abouts 4500 meters climbed, not bad!

First things first a nice warm shower after 5 days! Good to be all cleaned up:)
Then headed for the lider the supper market and stocked up on supplies as the next stop is 200 km away!

Stopped off at the subways and got two 12 inch subs! Kinda hungry I guess, and didn't feel like going to the restaurant.

Organized my gear yet again -- and looked and places to stop in chile on the map, as well as find a bike shop I wanted to put the gasoline bottle in a bottle holder on my bike there are now three of them.

I found that Oxford bike shop is the place to go in la Serena if you ever go by there, they have a very nice selection of things.

But the time I turned off the lights it was late much later the I would of liked it so I set the alarm for 07:30 as the room had to be cleared by noon the following day.

After coming back from the shop I scrambled as it was 11:30 to pack everything and give the key back. I then loaded the bike and headed for the panam route 5 but my knee was no better so I stopped about 20 km later on this beautiful cliff side, I setup the tent and then a pickup truck started to make it way up the hill slowly having learned my lesson at the natural reserve I asked if it would be okay if  I spent the night the man said yes! Good great then.
There are beautiful sunsets here as you can see.

Tomorrow I'll take some ibuprofen for my knee as advised and head off to see the penguins! Yes the
Humbuldt penguins at pointa de choros and isla drama

Hopefully it will not be too much of a pain I would hate to have an injury ruin my trip.
